The pastoral team at Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church serves with a shared calling: to lead with humility, nurture faith, and guide our community toward deeper spiritual connection. Rooted in Scripture and devoted to Christ’s example, our leaders minister with open hearts and helping hands—encouraging growth, extending grace, and faithfully embodying our mission to Love God – Love People. In loving God, we seek wholehearted devotion, Christ-centered living, and Spirit-led leadership. In loving people, we serve with compassion, build authentic relationships, and reflect God’s grace in meaningful, practical ways throughout our church and community.
Pastor John Barnett
Pastor Barnett is the Officiating Pastor of Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church in Conway, SC, faithfully leading since 2020. Known for his passionate preaching and heart for discipleship, he is committed to sharing the Gospel and building strong communities of faith.
Pastor Barnett studied Theology at Oakwood University, where he developed a deep foundation in Scripture and a lifelong dedication to serving others. He currently serves within the South Atlantic Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, where he brings a blend of compassion, wisdom, and practical ministry to his congregation.
Pastor Barnett's commitment to spiritual growth is evident in his personal and pastoral life as he continuously seeks to empower others to live out their faith with purpose and joy.
He enjoys playing piano and is married to Angelica Barnett, with 4 children.
